Management teams should be optimists and they can certainly be relied on to put some polish on operating results. Usually, there is nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, however, the business owner is left staring at operating results which say “might be going off track” and wondering where reality is. Stanton Associates can find out what the reality is today, and also where the company may be headed.
Stanton Associates can quickly perform a diagnostic review of a portfolio company, report back on the areas requiring remedial attention, and assist in implementing necessary changes to achieve superior performance. Specific examples of ways we can add value are:
- Provide a rapid analytical process that identifies areas of concern, and determines what needs to be done to move the company forward with growth and profitability
- Grade the company along seven critical dimensions (strategy, finance, sales, marketing, operations, technology, and human capital), while examining the effectiveness of the relationship between each of the dimensions
- Assess more than 125 dimension “areas” (e.g. within marketing, product marketing/product strategy is an “area”)
- Identify initiatives to improve company performance
- Ensure the appropriate measurement systems are in place to provide ongoing early-warnings of future adverse deviations from plan in all critical areas of the company
Typically our diagnostic reviews take approximately 2 days, depending on the size of the company… a small investment to gain valuable insight into the health of the company and future pitfalls to be avoided.
